Klose a injury worry for Germany: report
Klose has been one of the stars of the World Cup, scoring four times so far in South Africa.

Johannesburg: Germany striker Miroslav Klose is in danger of missing the World Cup third place play-off on Saturday against Uruguay, after picking up an injury during the semi-final defeat against Spain.

Klose has been one of the stars of the World Cup, scoring four times so far in South Africa and needing just one more goal to equal Ronaldo's all-time record of 15 in the competition.

Germany assistant Hansi Flick however announced on Thursday to reporters that Klose suffered a back injury in the second half of the Germans' last four defeat, and as it stands the Bayern striker could miss out on the opportunity to set the record against Uruguay on Saturday.

The player himself said nothing of feeling hurt though when questioned after the game, and told reporters he was eager to play.

Klose is not the only possible worry for Joachim Loew's side. Flick also mentioned captain Phillipp Lahm and midfielder Sami Khedira as other players carrying knocks from the Spain game, although he did not go into specifics. Lahm though addressed these concerns himself, stating unequivocally: "You shouldn't worry, it is very unlikely that I am going to miss this game," when questioned by reporters.
