London: Manchester City head coach Manuel Pellegrini is hoping that Argentinian striker Sergio Aguero will be fit for the European Champions League football match on Tuesday against Borussia Monchengladbach.

"Aguero still feels pain in his heel so it's not easy for him to work. I hope he will be back on Tuesday," Efe quoted Pellegrini as saying on Friday at a press conference.

City play an English Premier League (EPL) match on Saturday against Stoke City.

Aguero was injured in the second half of the match against Southampton on November 28.

Besides Aguero, City will also be this weekend without the suspended Eliakim Mangala and the injured Vincent Kompany, Yaya Toure, Samir Nasri, Pablo Zabaleta and Patrick Roberts.

"We don't depend on one or two players. We have an average of six players injured every game but even so we're through to the Last 16 of the Champions League and into the semi-final of the Capital One Cup," Pellegrini insisted.

"I think for a manager the best thing is to try and keep the starting 11 when you are winning but it's impossible for the amount of games we're playing," said the Chilean.
