According to a report in the Daily Star, the former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has hinted that defender Martin Skrtel could join Napoli this season.
Reina joined the Italian side last month and has indicated he would welcome Skrtel with open arms. Napoli are smulling over whether to make a move for the 28-year-old, either on loan or permanently.
He said:"I don't know what Napoli are looking for but I can say Martin Skrtel is a good player. He is a Liverpool player but his qualities would be great for any team - he is a great player. I respect Liverpool, Martin Skrtel and all of the Napoli players, so I can't say anything more about this."
Earlier, Skrtel's agent Karol Csonto had dismissed reports regarding the Slovakian's move to Italy. According to him, Skrtel could be out of Napoli's price range.
