The 25-year-old Belgium international, who joined the north London club from Fulham on Wednesday, gave the hosts the lead in the 68th minute when he placed his shot into the bottom right corner from the edge of the area.

Tottenham was without late transfer deadline day signings Clint Dempsey and Hugo Lloris, who joined the club late Friday from Fulham and Lyon respectively.
