Toni Kroos Lauds Real Madrid Teammate Jude Bellingham's 'Mentality' After Dramatic Comeback Triumph
The German World Cup winner commended the English youngster for his nerves of steel and the tremendous fighting spirit he displayed in Madrid's comeback win over Almeria.

Jude Bellingham seems to be specially built for nervous situations. The young midfielder once again demonstrated the quality in Real Madrid’s resounding comeback against Almeria in a La Liga Fixture on Sunday.

Bellingham netted a crucial goal before providing an assist in the second half, guiding his team to secure a 3-2 victory in the home game. After the dramatic match was wrapped up at the Santiago Bernabeu, the 20-year-old dropped an Instagram post featuring some moments from the end-to-end encounter. “This club. This stadium. This team. Different,” Bellingham wrote in the caption.

Apart from many club fans, the post attracted a reaction from another Real Madrid midfielder Toni Kroos. The German international seems overwhelmed with Bellingham’s tremendous fighting spirit. Referring to the youngster’s nerves of steel, Kroos commented, “This mentality with 20 is another level.”

Among other Real Madrid footballers, Lucas Vazquez, Brahim Diaz, Daniel Ceballos and Kepa Arrizabalaga also came forward to appreciate the talent and skills of Bellingham. Antonio Rudiger was also all praises for the English prodigy and labelled him as a “Special Player.”

Real Madrid needed someone to step up after they conceded back-to-back goals against Almeria early in the first half. Largie Ramazani broke the deadlock in the opening minute before Edgar Gonzalez increased the lead for the visitors moments before the half-time whistle.

The scoreline remained in Almeria’s favour until the 57th minute when Bellingham opened the scoring for Real Madrid by converting a penalty. Vinicius Jr took merely 10 minutes to make it all square.

Deep into the second-half stoppage time, Bellingham received an aerial delivery inside the Almeria box. Instead of attempting a direct header, he decided to pass it to Dani Carvajal, who was standing by the near post. The Spanish full-back made no mistake in converting the chance, with Real Madrid completing the comeback in style.

Bellingham has no doubt taken his game to another level since joining Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last summer. In November last year, boss Carlo Ancelotti called Bellingham “a gift for football” and said, “I don’t think anybody could have imagined his adaptation to this style of football, to this club. He surprises every day, in every game.”

Despite operating through the centre of the pitch, Bellingham can often invade the opposition’s defence. He has already scored 18 goals and recorded 8 assists in 26 appearances for Real Madrid across all competitions.
