UEFA fines England over crowd disturbances in Euro qualifier
UEFA has fined England, Lithuania, Scotland and Poland over crowd issues in European Championship qualifiers earlier this month.

Nyon: UEFA has fined England, Lithuania, Scotland and Poland over crowd issues in European Championship qualifiers earlier this month.

England were fined 15,000 euros ($16,510) over crowd disturbances in the 3-0 victory over Lithuania in Vilnius on October 12.

The Lithuanian federation must pay UEFA 20,000 euros after also being found guilty of crowd disturbances and for breaching ticketing regulations and blocking stairways.

The heaviest sanctions announced on Friday by UEFA related to Scotland's 2-2 home draw with Poland on October 8.

Poland were fined 40,000 euros after their fans clashed with stewards and set off and threw of fireworks among other objects. Scotland were fined 20,000 euros over field invasions by supporters, stairways being blocked and a lack of searches of fans.
