Formula 1 team Red Bull Racing principal Christian Horner was questioned for several hours by an independent lawyer in London after reports claimed a complaint has been filed by a female staffer with the parent company of the racing outfit alleging ‘inappropriate behaviour’ from the Briton.
According to a report in The Sun, Horner was quizzed for eight hours on Friday on allegations centering around ‘controlling behaviour’.
“Christian has been in there, and having his chat which has been ongoing for many hours. We are hoping for a swift resolution to this but that may be unlikely,” the publication quoted an unnamed source as claiming.

The source further claimed that the process may take time but Horner is still the team principal and not been asked to resign.
“This is not a trial and we are not going to have an answer and an outcome by the end of the day. This is not something that is going to be rectified that quickly. But Christian has not been sacked or asked to resign and he is not going to resign. We are in an investigation and we have to respect the integrity of the investigation, which means letting it run its course,” the source said.
The 2024 F1 season will get underway early March with the first practice session scheduled on February 29 for the Bahrain Grand Prix.
The report further adds that a call on Horner’s future with Red Bull Racing is unlikely to be taken after Friday’s hearing in London.
“People are expecting this to be over before the start of the F1 season, but that just isn’t going to happen. It will be a longer process than that as we have to conduct the investigation thoroughly,” The Sun quoted a source as saying.
Horner has been with Red Bull Racing as their team principal since they entry into Formula 1 in 2005 and has overseen the outfit win seven F1 world driver’s championships and six constructors’ titles.
