Robert Pattinson’s Batman 2 Delayed, Film To Release In October 2026
The Batman - Part II was initially scheduled to be released on October 3, 2025, but has been pushed to October 2, 2026.

Robert Pattinson as Bruce Wayne in The Batman was a major hit among the global audience. The film was released back in 2022 and did well commercially. Fans have been eagerly waiting for the sequel and for Robert Pattinson to reprise his role in the DC Universe film. In the latest, it was revealed that the release date for The Batman 2, officially titled The Batman – Part II, has been postponed. The Batman – Part II was initially scheduled to be released on October 3, 2025, but has been pushed to October 2, 2026.

According to The Wrap, Robert Pattinson will return to star in the sequel, which was supposed to be released in October 2025 but was postponed owing to halted screenplay development during the 2023 Hollywood strikes. Matt Reeves, who helmed the first part, is also directing the sequel. However, it is not yet known who, apart from Robert Pattinson, will be seen in the second part.

The first film starred Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Andy Serkis as Batman’s butler Alfred Pennyworth, Colin Farrell as the crime lord Penguin, and Jeffrey Wright as Gotham City’s police chief James Gordon. The Batman grossed $772 million globally. The film depicted Batman, who had been battling crime in Gotham City, uncovering corruption while following the Riddler, a serial killer who targets Gotham’s corrupt elites.

Moreover, a Variety report states that Warner Bros., the studio backing The Batman, has rearranged other titles on its release schedule. For instance, Maggie Gyllenhaal’s The Bride, which stars Christian Bale, Jessie Buckley, and Peter Sarsgaard, is now slated to release on October 3, 2025. Alto Knights, a crime movie starring two Robert De Niros, has been moved from November 15, 2024, to March 21, 2025.

The studio has also added the latest film by director Paul Thomas Anderson to its schedule, set for August 8, 2025. The title of the film has not been finalised yet, and the studio has tentatively named it “An Untitled Paul Thomas Anderson Event Film,” and it will be released in Imax. While not much is known, the report mentions that this movie will star Leonardo DiCaprio, Sean Penn, Regina Hall, Teyana Taylor, and Alana Haim. Paul Anderson’s upcoming film is currently under production in California.
