Her father passed away from a cardiac arrest in January, the news of which she had shared on social media. A week later, she shared pictures of her in a black saree, enjoying the winter breeze. Some fans slammed her for posting pictures on social media within a week instead of mourning.

Rithu Chowdary began her professional career as an anchor for the Star Maa Music channel. She took part in Pradeep Machiraju’s Pelli Choopulu show on the same channel in 2018. She made her Telugu television debut in 2019 with the series Gorintaku. After making her Telugu film debut with Mouname Ishtam, Rithu later made an appearance in Uppena. She also performs in comedy shows like Sridevi Drama Company and Jabardasth.
