12 big fish in Cabinet should be prosecuted

HYDERABAD: Alleging that there are “12 big fish” in the state cabinet, the Telugu Desam has demanded their prosecution by CBI.“We have been repeatedly telling the people that there are 12 corrupt ministers in the cabinet.The ministers should not be treated by the CBI as mere witnesses in the case but prosecuted,” TDP leaders Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu, B Gopala Krishna Reddy, Varla Ramaiah and D Veerabhadra Rao told at separate press conferences here on Sunday.“The jailed IAS officers know better about the role of ministers in corruption and irregularities.They should turn approvers and disclose the names of corrupt ministers and the modus operandi.Why are they not opening their mouths?” party general secretary Varla Ramaiah wondered.“The officers said they were small fish and there were big fish in the scam.The TDP identified 12 big fish in the cabinet.Let the chief minister resign and seek a fresh mandate,” Ramaiah said.Gali Muddukrishnama Naidu demanded arrest of YSRC chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, KVP Ramachandra Rao and others.The way the officers were highlighting the corruption in the state damaged the state’s prestige in the country, he said.Ministers, examined as witnesses in corruption cases, should also be prosecuted, demanded Dadi Veerabhadra Rao.
