New Delhi: A 12-year-old boy has reportedly admitted to breaking into many government and police websites during the student uprising in spring 2012, causing damage worth $60,000 to the sites. He confessed that he was working in the name of the hacker-activist group Anonymous, reports Toronto Sun.
The boy pleaded, who appeared in a youth court, admitted to hacking three websites, including those of Montreal police, the Quebec Institute of Public Health, Chilean government.
"The Grade 5 student from the Montreal suburb of Notre-Dame- de-Grâce, whose actions were not politically motivated, traded pirated information to Anonymous for video games," says the report.
The little hacker has been involved with computers since he was 9, and contributed in taking some websites down and accessed information about users and administrators. The boy will be sentenced next month.
