Two BJP workers going to attend Narendra Modi's rally here were killed on Monday and seven others injured after the jeep in which they were travelling was hit by a truck in Machhlishahr area, police said.
The incident took place this morning when a jeep full of BJP workers was going toward Tilakdhari Inter college, where election meeting of Modi was scheduled, was hit by a truck, they said.
Lal Patel (50) and Nankau Patel (52) were killed on the spot while the injured were rushed to the hospital where their condition was stated to be stable, said police.
