2 held for murdering paramilitary personnel

PUDUCHERRY: Two persons were arrested by the Mudaliarpet police on Saturday in connection with the murder of Tripura Rifles personnel Murugavel (36) in  Moolakulam on August 16.Senior Superintendent of Police (law and order) V J Chandran said that Vimal Kumar (26), a cousin of the deceased’s wife Githa, and Ravi Kumar(26), a friend of Vimal Kumar, had  been taken into custody in connection with the incident.  The murder took place over a family quarrel between the deceased and Vimal Kumar.The police are on the lookout for a third accused - Dina from Koliyanur in Villupuram district.Vimal Kumar has cases registered against him and had earlier been lodged in the Cuddalore Jail.
