2 SIs under scanner in land case

The Cyberabad police are investigating the role of two sub-inspectors of police in land settlements and cheating by a pseudo-inspector.

The accused, Srinivas Rao, posed as inspector attached to a police station in Cyberabad limits and used to frequent the Hayatnagar police station. He befriended real estate businessmen and others of the locality and allegedly settled some disputes. He became friendly with a couple of SIs at the police station and used to frequently go out with them. It is also alleged that he used the service revolver of one of the SIs to threaten a person.
