At just two years and three months old, Sambhir Das from the Milangarh Masjid Bati area in Kanchrapara in North 24 Parganas has already impressed everyone with his extraordinary memory and speaking skills. Despite his tender age, Sambhir can fluently name 15 vegetables, 16 fruits, 13 birds, 21 animals, various body parts and even places, all while speaking in his cute toddler-like babble. His father, Sanjay Das, is a railway employee and his mother, Aparna Das, is a homemaker. Sambhir is their only child and from an early age, he has demonstrated an incredible ability to retain whatever is told to him, which has left the entire Das family astonished.

From the moment his talent became apparent, Sambhir’s family has made an effort to engage him in conversations daily. His father, Sanjay, often has to leave for work, so his mother, Aparna, along with other family members, spends hours speaking to Sambhir, helping him expand his vocabulary. Apart from learning through conversations, Sambhir also has a deep love for books. Reading new books has become one of his favourite activities and it is through this passion for learning that he has memorized the names of all 12 months in English and even learned to recite several poems.

What sets Sambhir apart is his ability to name the capitals of various countries effortlessly, even while playing. This extraordinary skill has caught the attention of not just his family but also their neighbours, who are equally amazed by his remarkable talent. Wanting to give his skills the recognition they deserve, the Das family contacted the India Book of Records. Soon after, Sambhir’s name was officially listed in the prestigious record book due to his incredible abilities.

The entire family is overjoyed with Sambhir’s success, but they have humble aspirations for him. His parents hope that as he grows up, he becomes a good human being above all. Meanwhile, neighbours regularly visit their home, eager to hear Sambhir speak in his adorable toddler voice. His talents have made him the pride of the community, leaving everyone thoroughly impressed.
