5.4 magnitude earthquake hits Pak-Afghan border
According to USGS reports, the tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and other areas.

New Delhi: A 5.4 magnitude earthquake jolted the Pakistan-Afghanistan border in Hind Kush region on Thursday. The coordinates of epicentre were 36.47 degrees North, 71.12 degrees East.

According to USGS reports, the tremors were felt in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Lahore and other areas.

Tremors were also felt in some parts of Jammu and Kashmir. The tremor, which lasted for around 10 seconds, was recorded at 12:02 pm (IST), an official of the Meteorological Department said. There was no report of any damage to property or injuries to any person, but the tremors created panic among the people of the Valley.
