THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and family had some special guests on Wednesday evening. Scores of children from the orphanage run by Sai Gramam, Thonnakkal, transformed the December evening at Cliff House with their lilting Xmas carols. The Sai Gramam carol was the first to call at the Chief Minister’s residence Cliff House this year. They sang songs taught them by Elizabeth Antony, wife of Defence Minister A K Antony. The children returned after having dinner at the Chief Minister’s residence. Sai Gramam executive director Anandakumar was also present on the occasion.Workshop on Hindustani MusicA three-day workshop on Hindustani music is being conducted at Sai Gramam of Sri Sathya Sai Orphanage Trust at Thonnakkal from Friday to Sunday. The workshop is being held under the auspices of the Pandit Murthiram Organisation led by renowned Hindustani musician Ramesh Narayanan. Cultural Affairs Minister K C Joseph and Agriculture Minister K P Mohanan will jointly inaugurate the workshop on Friday at 11 am.
