Actor flags off eye donation rally

The event commenced at the Light House and culminated at Anna Square.District Governor of Rotary International, Raja Sreenivasan, members of the Rotary International and NGOs were also present.The eye donation fortnight is an annual programme coordinated by the Government of India, Eye Bank Association of India, member eye banks and other organisations working for eye care and eye donation.The fortnight has been officially notified by the Government of India to be designated from August 25 to September 8 every year.first published:September 03, 2012, 09:05 ISTlast updated:September 03, 2012, 09:05 IST
