Veteran artist Manorama is all set to feature in a film! And that will be in the sequel to Suriya’s Singam, shoot for which is expected to begin soon.
The movie will bring the sexagenarian back on the screen after a year’s hiatus. The actress was hospitalized twice in the past one year — in October to undergo surgery for a subdural hemorrhage, and in March this year for removal of kidney stones.
The actor had not signed any films after ‘Ponnar Sankar’ (2011). Her last shoot was for a TV show ‘Panchapandavargal’, done a year ago. And now, the senior artiste has given the go-ahead to act in the sequel to ‘Singam’, thanks to director Hari’s persuasion.
“The filmmaker visited my mom recently and requested her to feature in the sequel as she acted in the first part. He is planning on retaining the original cast for the sequel too,” her son Bhoopathy said.
