New Delhi: Following a star-studded wedding ceremony in Mumbai, Mukesh Ambani and his family organised special musical fountain shows for India's armed forces, police and their families on Tuesday.
The event was hosted at the Dhirubhai Ambani Square at Jio World Centre in Bandra which was inaugurated last week by Nita Ambani in the presence of 2,000 underprivileged children from NGOs supported by the Reliance Foundation.
On Saturday, Reliance Industries chairman Mukesh Ambani and his wife Nita Ambani hosted a grand wedding for their son Akash and diamantaire Russell Mehta's daughter Shloka.
Welcoming the security personnel and their families on Tuesday, Nita Ambani expressed her gratitude to the jawans for keeping the nation safe.
“Our motherland was in your safe hands yesterday. It is in your safe hands today. It will be in your safe hands tomorrow and forever. And for that, we are eternally grateful," she said.
She also reiterated the Reliance Foundation’s commitment to take full responsibility of the education, employment and livelihood needs of martyred jawans’ families.
“It is our duty as your family to stand by you and always be there for you, just as you are always there for our entire nation. The welfare and well-being of your families is our responsibility," she said.
The Reliance Foundation is also establishing a skill development centre exclusively for the armed forces and their families, Nita Ambani added.
She also sought blessings for her newly wedded son and daughter-in-law.
Ahead of the wedding, the Reliance head had sent sweets to 50,000 Mumbai police personnel.
