HYDERABAD: Red Ribbon Express (RRE) will enter Andhra Pradesh on May 31 and run across the state for 17 days. The train with exhibits on AIDS, tuberculosis, malaria, child health services, general health, and hygiene will halt at nine stations in nine districts in the state for one day each. It will halt at Secunderabad station on June 4 and 5.During its stay, counselling would be given in one coach while in another training would be imparted to members of Panchayat Raj Institutions, self help groups, health workers, youth organisations, teachers, and the police. The RRE programme is being jointly implemented by the National AIDS Control Organisation (NACO) and Union health ministry.Meanwhile, all the officials of medical and health department are busy in making arrangements for the campaign. They are preparing posters in Telugu on various health programmes and schemes introduced by the state government, to be displayed on the train while it is in the state.  The RRE, which was flagged off from Delhi on January 12 last year, during its year-long journey across 23 States, would halt at 162 stations.
