Glasgow: Indian shuttlers had a good day in office with Anand Pawar and Saili Rane notching up victories in men's and women's singles respectively to advance to the pre-quarterfinals of the Scottish Open Grand Prix here on Thursday.
Seeded seventh in the tournament, Pawar registered an easy 21-7 21-15 win over Kim Bruun of Denmark in his second round match that lasted 33 minutes. He now take on Erik Meijs of the Netherlands in the pre-quarterfinals.
Rane also hardly broke a sweat as she beat Matilda Petersen of Sweden 21-16 21-11 in just 28 minutes in her opening round match at the Emirates Arena.
