Another Nandigram clash victim identified
With the identification of one more body, 13 of the 14 bodies have been identified after the Nandigram clash so far.

New Delhi: One of the 14 people killed in the Nandigram clash have been identified on Tuesday.

Thirteen bodies have been identified so far after the March 14 police firing in Nandigram.

Hospital sources said that his brother identified the body as that of 24-year-old Joydep Das of Sonachura, one of the spots where the police fired that day, by his brother.

Das’ body had been kept at the morgue of East Midnapore district general hospital at Tamluk.

Meanwhile, the hospital authorities referred an injured woman, Sarifa Bibi, having an ear drum problem after a teargas shell burst close by and Saddam Hussein, suffering from an eye problem, to the state-run SSKM hospital in Kolkata for further treatment.

A total of 56 persons were admitted to the Tamluk hospital with injuries sustained in the police firing on March 14.
