PARADIP: Kujang Police arrested anti-Posco activist and CPI leader Abhay Sahu at Nuapokhari area of Manijanga-Erasama road on Friday evening while he was on his way to Bhubaneswar to attend a meeting for the proposed party conference to be held here on Sunday.SP S Devdatta Singh said Sahu has been arrested for his alleged involvement in criminal activities including tampering with a dowry death and Harijan atrocity case at Gobindpur. He will be produced in court on Saturday, he added. Earlier in the day he had staged a dharna protesting the decision to resettle the ostracised villagers in Gobindpur. Sahu was earlier arrested in October 2008 while returning from Bhubaneswar after treatment. Implicated in more than 32 cases, he was remanded in judicial custody. The High Court had granted him bail in August 2009.
