HYDERABAD: The Telangana Coordination Committee has condemned the attitude of the AP Bhavan administration in not permitting the body of Yadi Reddy, who committed suicide in the vicinity of Parliament, to be brought into its premises. In a statement on Saturday, Dr. A Gopal Kishan, chairman of the committee, said that it shows the insensitivity of the administration and of the political masters in the city at whose behest it was suspected that a decision was taken to perform the last rites in Delhi.“The decision was inhuman. It was all the more galling because Yadi Reddy was not an orphan and his family came to Delhi to take his body. The family has every right to perform the last rites at a place and the manner in which they wish to,’’ he added. He said the state government had committed a legal, moral and ethical offence. The order directing the body be taken to crematorium is also a violation of human right. He reiterated that AP Bhavan belongs to the people of Telangana as it was the property of Nizam of Hyderabad State. Telangana people have a rightful claim over the place and have legal and moral right to use the premises to pay homage to Yadi Reddy, the statement said.
