An assistant engineer of Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) was caught on Thursday by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 40,000, a senior official said.
An assistant engineer of Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JVVNL) was caught on Thursday by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) while allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 40,000, a senior official said.
The engineer, Sanjay Kumar Mangal, had allegedly demanded the bribe in return for providing power connection at the stone unit of the complainant. "We have arrested the engineer and have recovered the bribe money from him," DIG (ACB) SK Narjari said. He was arrested after an extensive search of his house by the ACB sleuths.
"We have found Rs 3,80,000 cash from his house besides documents of 7 plots, about 150 gm gold and silver jewellery and documents of huge investment in insurance and different saving schemes," Narjari said.
