New Delhi: Second seed Rafael Nadal moved into the next round with a very good win in the third round.

The Spaniard got past Stansilas Wawrinka in straight sets.

Nadal dominated right from the start and dropped just six games in all winning the match in two hours with a score line of 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

He will play the winner of the Andy Murray and Juan Ignacio Chela match.

Third seed Nikolay Davydenko of Russia needed only two hours to beat Fabrice Santoro to reach the quarter-final of the Australian Open.

After a 61-minute battle, Davydenko took the first set 7-6 via tie-breaker. Though he made 38 unforced errors as compared to Santoro's 16, the Russian just needed another hour to wrap up the next two sets 6-2, 6-2.

Davydenko will face the winner of the Tomas Berdych-Dmitri Tursunov match in the last 16-stage.

David Nalbandian, who had survived a scare in the first round against Janko Tipsarevic, lost the first two sets to Sebastien Grosjean in the third round too.

But in the tie-breaker in the third set, Nalbandian did a turnaround winning the 7-6.

Nalbandian then picked up the pace and routed his French opponent winning the four-hour marathon 5-7, 4-6, 7-6, 6-4, 6-1.
