HYDERABAD: Now, it is the turn of Andhra Congress public representatives to confer with AICC general secretary and in-charge of AP affairs Ghulam Nabi Azad in New  Delhi on August 8. As part of the consultations process on the state bifurcation issue, Azad had held discussions with a delegation of 12 Telangana Congress public representatives in the last week of July. Interestingly, Azad who had earlier held talks with Seemandhra Congress leaders, has now decided to call for separate meetings with the Congress public representatives of Andhra and Rayalaseema regions. It is learnt that Azad would first hold discussions with a 10-member delegation of   Andhra leaders in Delhi on August 8 and 9. He would talk to Rayalaseema leaders on or after August 10. Azad intends to seek views of his party leaders from all the three regions separately to have more clarity on the issue. As Congress MLC R Padma Raju puts it, the public representatives from Andhra would reiterate their stand before Azad by explaining the reasons behind the demand to keep AP united. Hyderabad as a common capital is not acceptable to them. They would request the Centre to make Hyderabad as a Union territory if it decides to deliver Telangana state.
