THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Investigating officers probing the brutal attack on the schoolteacher Krishnakumar at Valakom, quizzed R Balakrishna Pillai on Tuesday.The team headed by DySP Shanavas questioned the former minister in a private hospital where he had been admitted. The questioning session lasted for almost three hours. It is learnt that Pillai had given the statement that he had some issues with the injured teacher relating to the appointments in the school. He, however, maintained that the issues with the teacher were not at the level of any personal grudge. Pillai stuck to his earlier stand that he had nothing to do with the attack.The police officers decided to quiz Pillai after the statement given by Krishnakumar before the Magistrate A M Ashraf, was made available to them. Krishnakumar had said that Pillai and the school management had harboured a grudge against him.Meanwhile, Jail ADGP Alexander Jacob submitted to Oommen Chandy the investigation report which looked into the controversial phone calls of Pillai. The report confirmed that he had violated the prison rules and his sentence be extended to four more days.
