Beni Prasad violates poll code by using more cars than permissible, booked

Union Steel Minister and Congress candidate Beni Prasad Verma has been booked for the violation of Model Code of Conduct, the District Magistrate said on Monday.

Beni organised a roadshow in Tarabganj tehsil on Sunday evening, in which the number of vehicles was beyond permissible limit, DM Vikas Gothalwal said.

The vehicles stopped at many places leading to traffic jam, he said adding that the in-charge officer of the flying squad lodged an FIR against Beni and his supporters.
