BALASORE: The district unit of BJP has demanded vigilance probe into the alleged irregularities during the written tests for the posts of junior clerk. It was earlier alleged that a particular group of candidates was allowed ‘cheating’ in an examination centre and even the question paper was leaked to them prior to the exam. This apart, while in other districts there were three sets of questions, here the selection committee had prepared only one set.Altogether 119 were selected to appear for the computer skill test for 76 posts. The District Collector Akhila Bihari Ota had denied the charges even as 16 aspirants lodged a written complaint with the collectorate about a couple of days back. BJP district president Lambodar Nayak on Friday said the administration should hand over the probe to the vigilance. He threatened to intensify the stir if the administration fails to do so. “Some officers in the administration are acting in favour of the ruling party leaders. Their involvement will come to fore during the probe,” he said.
