Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Monday alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party and the Rashtriya Janata Dal are hand in gloves as both the parties criticised the state government on the serial blasts that rocked the temple town of Bodh Gaya on Sunday.
"Some understanding between the BJP and RJD will be internal and some will be visible," said Janata Dal United leader Nitish.
"The BJP was thrown out of power, so they want to form an alliance. They are holding talks with the RJD to form an unholy nexus in Bihar," he said.
The BJP attacked the Bihar government over security lapse and said, "If there were intelligence reports then why no action was taken by state government."
Calling the terror attack as the biggest failure of the Nitish Kumar government, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav said, "No terror attack took place in Bihar during his regime."
The Congress is trying to reach out at the Bihar CM and remain silent at the terror attack. In fact, Congress General Secretary Digvijaya Singh accused the BJP of politicising the issue by attacking the Bihar government.
The JD(U) has broke its 17-year-old alliance with the BJP after Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra was anointed as the party Election Campaign Committee chairperson. Since then, there is a verbal duel between the two parties.
As the Lok Sabha polls are slated for the next year, the Congress is also trying to make more allies. In a bid to woo Bihar CM, the UPA has recently approved Rs 4,000 crore for the construction of 5,700 km of rural roads, highest allotment for the state in the past 12 years.
