Bombs concealed in bicycles explode near cantonment; ULFA cadres blamed for attack.
Guwahati: At least seven persons were injured when two bombs exploded near the cantonment in Satgaon on Monday evening.
An agency report said two bombs concealed in bicycles exploded near a traffic light at around 1845 hours IST. The banned United Liberation Front of Asom, which since Friday has killed at least 67 Hindi-speaking people in the state, is suspected to behind the blasts.
Two Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel are among the injured. Additional Superintendent of Police Rajen Singh told PTI that the blasts were targeted at soldiers.
The Centre announced on Monday that it was sending more security forces to Assam where the ULFA is targeting migrant workers from Bihar and Bengal.
