New Delhi: While Anna Hazare sits on his fast in Ramlila Maidan, the country seems to be waking up to the high degree of corruption crippling the system.
From Bollywood stars to directors and music directors – everyone seems to be wanting to add their bit to the movement for anti-corruption. The movies don’t want to be left behind either. The first such movie to join the movement is 'Mum Bhai'.
The movie is being shot at Jogeshwari’s Kamalistan Studio.
Media reports say that the 150 strong cast and crew of the film recently spent an entire day wearing the trademark Nehru cap, now made famous by anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare.
"We are not doing this for publicity. This is our way of paying homage to Anna’s efforts," said director Wilfred Lobo to the media.
The movie based on the Mumbai underworld, stars Sanjay Kapoor and Mahima Chaudhary.
Mahima Chowdhury told the media -- "If Anna Hazare’s campaign is successful and manages to change our country even 10 per cent, I will be the happiest person in the world."
The team also stopped shooting for an hour between 1 pm and 2 pm and organised a candle-light vigil for Anna.
"For an hour the entire machinery was shut. We know we can’t go and participate in the marches, so this is the best we could do," said Wilfred to the media.
The movie also stars Raj Babbar’s son Arya Babbar and 'deals with how someone from the underworld goes on to help the police', say media reports.
