Ranchi: BSF Director General D K Pathak today assured Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das that the Force would give Rs 20 lakh to the family of slain jawan Krishan Kumar Dubey, who was killed by Pakistani snipers in Jammu and Kashmir on July 9.
Calling on the Chief Minister in Ranchi, the DG also announced to give employment to one of his dependents, an official release said.
Pathak's assurance came after Das asked the BSF to provide a job to a dependent of the martyr and informed Pathak that the state had already announced Rs 2 lakh as compensation to the family on its part and promised to extend all possible help.
Dubey, who hailed from Jamshedpur, lost his life when Pakistani snipers fired at a post located in Nowgam area of Baramulla on July 9.
