Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim, the beloved TV couple, got married on February 22 in 2018. Celebrating five years of marital bliss, they welcomed their son, Ruhaan, into the world in 2023. With the grand finale of the popular dance reality show Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 11 just a week away, Dipika Kakar took to social media, urging her fans to cast their votes for her husband Shoaib.
In a heartfelt message on Instagram, Dipika shared a hurtful memory of a challenging time when Shoaib struggled with confidence as an actor, revealing a vulnerable aspect of their journey together.
“There have been times jab ek tarike se apna poora confidence khatam ho gaya tha, lekin phir bhi he just kept himself going. Kahi na kahi mujhe lagta hai ki jo vo deserve karte hai, vo credit unhe nahi mil paya. (There have been times when his confidence was completely shattered in one way, but still, he just kept himself going. I feel that somewhere he hasn’t received the credit he deserves),” she expressed.
In the video’s closing moments, she shared their shared dream for Shoaib to participate and win in Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. Dipika revealed her desire for Shoaib to achieve what she couldn’t in the eighth season of the same show, highlighting their mutual support and aspirations.

Dipika and Shoaib first met on the set of the popular TV show ‘Sasural Simar Ka’, where their friendship blossomed into a romantic relationship. They took their commitment to the next level by getting married in 2018. However, before their joyous moment of welcoming their baby Ruhan in 2023, they faced a heartbreaking miscarriage in 2022, which they openly shared was a tough period for them.
Their journey with Ruhan also faced challenges, as he required oxygen support and was placed in an incubator in the Neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) shortly after birth. Despite the hurdles, Dipika and Shoaib remained resilient and devoted to their family’s well-being.
