Srinagar: The Indian security forces on Tuesday gunned down a Pakistani intruder in Kashmir. The Border Security Force (BSF) shot the intruder in the Kathua district when he tried to cross the international border.
The development came after the Pakistani forces violated ceasefire and killed an Indian jawan in Akhnoor on Tuesday.
Condemning the incident, Congress leader Rajeev Shukla accused the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of being a silent spectator. "It is very sad and an issue of grave concern. Even after we invited, welcomed and sought blessings of Pakistan head of the state, our soldiers are losing their lives in cross border shelling and the current government is just being a silent spectator to all these events," he said.
Meanwhile, Shiv Sena spokesperson Sanjay Raut said that India should retaliate in Pakistan's language only. "No dialogue should take place with Pakistan. Shiv Sena has always maintained that there should be no relations with Pakistan. Today one soldier sacrificed his life, tomorrow more soldiers will die. Will we keep counting sacrifices of our soldiers? If one Indian soldier dies, ten Pakistani soldiers should die. Pakistan understands this language only," said Raut.
