Bypoll: Call centre formed

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The office of the Additional Director of Income Tax (Investigation) here would closely monitor the undisclosed cash flow and ostentatious expenditure in connection with the Neyyatinkara Assembly by-election.A 24x7 call centre with toll-free number 1800 - 425 - 3070 has been set up in the office of the Additional Director of Income Tax to receive such complaints against ostentatious expenditure during the bypolls.The Election Commission of India has directed the Income Tax authorities to keep a close surveillance over large movement of undisclosed cash and other goods as well as unwanted expenditure in connection with the by-election to the Neyyatinkara Assembly constituency, a release issued by Press Information Bureau stated. The Assembly by-election is scheduled for June 2.
