New Delhi: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has declared the results for class XII examinations. Girls have outscored boys with pass percentage of 87.56%. Over 10 lakh students had appeared for the exams in March.
Thiruvanantpuram region has topped the country with a pass percentage of 95.41%. The all India pass percentage is 82%. As always, 87.56% girls passes the exams and 77.77% boys passed the class XII exams.
The results have been uploaded on a number of websites including on www.results.nic.in, www.cbseresults.nic.in and www.cbse.nic.in. Students can also know their results through an Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS) by dialling 24300699 (Delhi), 011-24300699 (other parts of the country). MTNL subscribers can call 28127030 (Delhi) and 011-28127030 (other parts). They can also check their marks obtained through SMS (text message) services of certain mobile phone operators.
Soon after the results were announced, Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the students who appeared for the exams. "Congratulations to all my young friends who have successfully passed the CBSE Class XII Board Exam. Best wishes for a bright future," he tweeted.
The results of CBSE class X will be announced on Wednesday.
The board, in a statement, said that post-result counselling would begin from on Monday itself and continue till June 8, for which it has provided a toll-free number - 1800118004.
