BANGALORE: The sleuths of the Organised Crime Wing of the Central Crime Branch arrested six persons who were allegedly planning to commit dacoity behind Indiranagar RTO office.The accused have been identified as Nagendra alias Shiva Nagendra, 25, of HAL G Quarters, Ismail, 23, of Annasandrapalya, Murthy, 28, of Indiranagar Double Road, Vinod, 23, of Marathalli, William, 18, of HAL and Brijesh, 19.Police recovered Rs 45,000 cash, two-wheelers and lethal weapons from the accused. However, the other two accused, Rama and Shashi, managed to escape and efforts are on to nab the duo.“Interrogations revealed that the accused were involved in a robbery case, and had snatched away a bag that had Rs 2.5 lakh cash. The victim, Airtel employee, was going on a bike to deposit the money in a bank in Indiranagar on March 28, when the incident had taken place. It is suspected that the same gang is involved in several similar cases,” police explained.The accused Nagendra is involved in a murder case and eight dacoity cases have been registered in Channapatna, Ramanagar, Mysore, Hunsur, HAL and Electronics City police stations against him. While, Vinod is an accused in an attempt to murder case in HAL police station. A case has been registered in Indiranagar police station in this connection.
