Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) recently announced the results of the Sub-Inspector recruitment examination, which took place in 2021. Many candidates succeeded in clinching a position in the final exam. One of the applicants is Chanda Gurjar of Mohanwadi village in Jhunjhunu district, Rajasthan. She is currently undergoing training at the Rajasthan Police Academy, Jaipur. She is the daughter of a shepherd named Prakash Chand. The poor economic conditions at home never stopped her from pursuing her dreams. While talking to News18 Hindi Digital, Chanda Gurjar gave the credit for her success to her family. She said that even in the most difficult situations, her father didn’t leave her side. Her family always motivated her to work hard.
Chanda Gurjar was previously working as a Village Development Officer (VDO) in the city of Barmer. She then decided to try her luck in Rajasthan Police Sub-Inspector Recruitment Examination which took place in 2021. During her interaction with the media, Chanda Gurjar said that her dream is to become an IPS officer. She is currently preparing for the civil services examination.
SI Chanda Gurjar’s father used to work in Dubai. He returned to his hometown, six years ago, and started gazing sheep for a living. He later got involved in farming. While talking about her family, Chanda Gurjar told that she has four sisters. Her sister Mandu Devi got married, whereas her other sibling Anita has completed her post graduation through MA. She is currently preparing for the competitive exams. Her third sister, Manoj got selected for the post of constable in Rajasthan Police in 2021. Chanda’s selection marks the second member of his family to get a government job. Her brother is currently studying BA and is in his final year.
IPS officer, Vijay Singh Gurjar shared the success story of SI Chanda Gurjar on his Facebook. He is currently posted in Gujarat Cadre. He belongs to Chanda’s neighbouring village. He is the son of a farmer who became an IPS officer.
