Farmers are demanding that the minimum support price should be raised from Rs 3,300 to Rs 6,000/quintal.
New Delhi: Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan is expected to hold an all-party meeting on Wednesday to discuss the ongoing row over cotton prices.
Farmers from Vidarbha have been protesting and demanding that the minimum support price be raised from Rs 3,300 to Rs 6,000 per quintal.
They argue that cotton production cost this year was much higher that the minimum support price offered by the government.
