Class 7 Girl Raped In Telangana, Victim’s Family Set Accused's House On Fire
A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, along with other relevant sections, has been registered against the accused.

In a horrific incident, a class 7 student was allegedly raped by a man in a village in Telangana’s Siddipet district. Following the incident, the outraged girl’s family and relatives, set the accused’s house and car on fire.

The incident took place when 19-year-old man allegedly entered the minor’s home in Gavarannapet village when she was alone at home. When she cried out for help, the neighbours rushed to her rescue and manhandled him, reported Telangana Today.

The act of retaliation caused significant tension in the village. Upon receiving the information about the incident, police rushed to the spot to control the situation. Despite the presence of police, the family and relatives of the victim continued the protest and torched the accused’s property. Police eventually managed to disperse the crowd and restore order.

The victim’s family and locals have demanded stringent legal action against the accused. A case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, along with other relevant sections, has been registered against the accused.

Further investigation into the matter is underway.
