The amount proposed to be given to people whose houses suffered partial damage will range from Rs 35,000 to Rs 50,000. Those who have to remain in the relief camps will be given Rs 10,000 each.As many as 212 shops in Iritty and 75 shops in Sreekandapuram were destroyed in the rains and floods and the shop owners will get Rs 1 lakh each. A maximum of Rs 2.5 lakh will be given to the shop owners who suffered heavy losses, depending on the gravity of the damage. Compensation amounting to Rs 10,000 each will be given to those who lost household implements.
