CM: Party offices cant decide list of accused

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The days of fixing a few accused in murder cases in accordance with a list given from political party offices are over, asserted Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Thursday. Reacting to queries of mediapersons on the criticism by the CPM leadership against the ongoing probe in the T P Chandrasekharan murder case, the Chief Minister maintained that the probe was proceeding in the right direction. “For sure, the practice of booking persons in murder cases from a list forwarded from party offices are over. We’ve stopped it,’’ he said. “The real culprits will be brought to book. In the TP case, the ongoing probe is satisfactory. We will not interfere in the probe in any manner. I guarantee that no innocent will suffer but all those involved in the ghastly murder will be brought to book,’’ he said.
