BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda assured the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) that government lands will be allotted to establish CRPF battalions at Shimoga, Dharwad and Bagalkot to combat Naxalism. Also, the CM assured the CRPF staff of reserving seats for their children in medical and engineering colleges. Gowda was speaking after inspecting the parade of the first batch of constable recruits of CRPF Additional Training Centre of Taralu held at CRPF Group Centre in Yelahanka on Monday. “The state government is keen on fulfilling all demands of the CRPF and it has sanctioned government lands for National Institute of Jungle Craft run by CRPF in Belgaum. It is welcoming that the CRPF has come forward to help the state in tackling Naxalism. Shortly, a meeting would be convened to identify the lands for CRPF battalions in Shimoga, Dharwad and Bagalkot,” Gowda said.
