BANGALORE: The state cabinet which met here on Friday could not come to any decision on fixing compensation for the proposed Kempegowda layout to be developed by the Bangalore Development Authority.
Since the cabinet felt that further deliberations are needed on the issue, it subject was deferred, Higher Education Minister V S Acharya told reporters while briefing on cabinet decisions.According to sources, the proposals were made to the government to give Rs 80 lakh to Rs1 crore compensation per acre of acquired land besides giving the land owners a site after development the layout. Since it will have far reaching implications in land acquisitions in future, the cabinet decided to have further deliberations on it, Acharya said.
