Conduct NIA probe into attacks

HYDERABAD: The Majlis Bachao Tehreek on Friday submitted a memorandum to governor ESL Narasimhan seeking his intervention in taking action against those involved in recent attacks on people belonging to a particular community.MBT corporator Amjedullah Khan and others wanted the governor to instruct the authorities to take action against persons and organisations involved in the attacks and to find out their source of funds and links with extremist activities.The corporator also wanted action against negligent and erring officials.He further wanted a special cell to be formed in the state intelligence department to keep an eye on growing militancy of a particular community.They wanted the investigation handed over to the National Investigation Agency.
