CoP rewards women inspector and her team

CHENNAI: City police commissioner J K Tirpathy on Thursday rewarded a women police inspector and her team members for their impressive performance during Operation Hamla. Egmore All Women Police Station Inspector K Kalyani was posted along with 10 other cops at the entrance to the Commissioner’s office as part of the security drill. When the CoP attempted to enter the office in mufti, Inspector Kalyani asked her team members to check his vehicle thoroughly.Although she was aware that the person sitting inside the car was the CoP, she did not allow the vehicle inside without a thorough check. Following a 10 minute check, she allowed the vehicle into the Commissionerate.Impressed by their performance, the CoP rewarded the team with a cash award of Rs 1,000 each.
