Cops death mystery continues

ANANTAPUR: Mystery continues to shroud whether armed reserve constable V Prasad's death was a suicide or accidental. Anantapur railway police inspector GV Giridhar said during the preliminary investigation, the victim's wife had told them that her husband had not committed suicide but had accidentally fallen on the railway track while crossing it and was run over by a train.He said they are also investigating in that angle and the real cause of the death will be known only after the post mortem report was received. The post mortem report was expected in another three days.Meanwhile, the district police are also investigating into the alleged harassment of additional SP LS Chowhan, which was claimed to be the reason for Prasad's  suicide.It may be mentioned that the body of the constable was found on the tracks at Ramnagar level crossing, here on Tuesday. An unsigned suicide note found on Prasad's body  said the alleged harassment by additional SP as the reason for the suicide.
